Hello Krew
Hope you all are doing good and staying cool. The weather was just
perfect in Michigan and Indiana this past week. I had a
GREAT week
in Michigan . I did two concerts with Allison Speer. We did two
"Breakfast Club" concerts. One in Muskegon, Michigan at the Maranatha Bible Campgrounds, and then the next morning in
Shipshewana, Indiana at the Blue Gate Theatre and Restaurant. Trust
me when I say that it's difficult to sing that early in the morning,
especially when its earlier than the first service and after a full
buffet breakfast! I hope I didn't burp too many times!
Allison is such a great talent. She is funny, serious, an incredibly
gifted communicator and has a anointing on her voice like very few
singers do. The audience seemed to love her and they especially
loved her stories about her "people"! She has the best story of how
her Grandmother taught her to make the edge of a pie crust
decorative! You will have to ask her about it!
Saturday night, I was in Flint, Michigan for a concert with the
Royal Heirs. Chuck Robbins and the Royal Heirs booked me almost ten
years ago and decided to bring me back for their anniversary
concert. They had a great crowd and I really enjoyed seeing them
again and getting to see my old friend Jeff Glasgow, formerly of the
Calvarymen in Flint. He ran sound for me in Flint and did such a
great job, I talked him into coming to Burton Michigan the next
morning and helping me again! What a prince of a guy.
It was great to see Pastor Don and Susan Frey in Burton Michigan. I
have known these two sweet people since 1980 when they visited the
Cathedral of Tomorrow, in Akron, Ohio. I have sung for them in
Owosso and Plymouth Michigan. But now Don is the senior Pastor of
the South Flint Church of the Nazarene.
Sunday night I was in Mason, Michigan at Eden United Brethren
Church. It was great seeing some friends from the Lansing area. We
even had a sweet couple come from Salem Oregon! As my Dad says,
that's a fur piece!

We had several people sign up for the Cruise this week. I think it's
going to be a great trip. I hope some of you who are "thinking about
it" will go ahead and send in your registration. The group of rooms
that we had reserved are just about gone, so the sooner you get your
deposits in, the better chances of good rooms we will have. We can
get more rooms as they open up but the better choice of rooms are in
our allotment so call as soon as possible. Five nights aboard the SS
Inspiration, Eating ten times a day, hearing some Gospel Music at
night, going to the beach, ice cream in the afternoon, playing
Bingo, all kinds of on board entertainment (last cruise there was a
pretty legs contest for the men--LOLO) I think its going to be a fun
trip that you will remember for a lifetime. Call the office today to
get signed up. 865 933 2100
