I know many of you have been waiting to hear how the
surgery went. I am happy to report it all went as
planned. The doctor said Kirk came through it great
and this should be the end of all his pain. He is
looking great, is very alert and still has his sense
of humor as he was telling one of his tall tales to
our pastor as I left the hospital.
He will go home tomorrow and can start living a
normal life almost right away. He just needs to
avoid lifting for at least 6 weeks and needs to be
careful about bending and stretching. He still plans
to be in
Birmingham on Thursday.
Thanks so much to those of you who have been praying
for him! God does answer prayer and God is good! I
know if Kirk were writing this he would be telling
you how much he appreciates and loves you all.
The next newsletter will come from Kirk!!
God Bless,
Dot
News about Kirk

Hello Krew:
Many of you knew Kirk was scheduled to see the neurosurgeon this
morning so I thought you would appreciate an update on him. He
was feeling much better the end of last week and we were very
encouraged, but Monday he had a very long day getting home from
Canada with many delays and
canceled flights and it took a toll on him. As the week
progressed the pain got worse and by yesterday he was in
terrible pain. This morning it was even worse and a good friend
of his drove him to the doctor. After several hours there the
doctor recommended surgery right away. So Kirk will have it done
tomorrow afternoon.
The doctor told him that it is a fairly routine procedure, and
that he will only spend one night in the hospital and will be
able to be up and walking on Saturday. He even said he could go
to Birmingham on Thursday for
the concert he has scheduled with the Hoppers. So those of you
in the Birmingham area can
expect to see him there - maybe not jumping up and down, but
there and singing!!
Please keep him in your prayers tomorrow. The surgery is
scheduled for 3 PM. I am hopeful that after the surgery he will
be feeling the best he has in months.

concert go to

so don't wait. I know Kirk would love to see a bunch of you
there!
